Super fantabulous July 4th blow out breakfast extravaganza - Now with lot's of pictures!

It's Sunday afternoon and I am still recovering from yesterday's festivities. " What did you do?" you ask? Well, the whole day started out with the balloon festival in Provo by the hospital. Not really the place I want to go to on my day off. If you want to go to the balloon fest you have to get there early because the entire state decides that out of all three days of the fest, this is the day that they have to go. Oh, and it is probably the only day they have off. We got up at 5am so we could have a fighting chance at a parking space somewhat close to the action. We met Sherry and her family, Jason and Lacey, and we also met up with Blake and Tonya. This is about as happy as it gets at 6:30 in the morning

We positioned ourselves over by the Tony the Tiger balloon, cuz' I like cereal.

This is the best part of the festival when all the balloons are just inflating and you feel like you are engulfed in fluffiness. Fluffiness? Still recovering.

We have lift off! The whole point of this thing is for the balloons to make it back to the field to throw a bean bag at a giant X for points. Some make it back but as you can see Smokey has never gotten very high in the air and kept going south.

Go Tony Go! There is a video of Tony's lift off at the end of the blog but please , don't skip ahead, it will wait for you.

As the balloons came back we had some go right over us, this is the pig balloon approaching the X.

Time for breakfast! Mom and Dad put on the, oh I don't know 4Th or 5Th annual July 4Th post balloon fest/ whenever you get there breakfast. Kelsie showed off her bacon skills.

We hit the carnival next. This is the part I dread the most because people in mass amounts bug me. After a quick walk past the really cool cars (the new Camaro is waaay cool) we walk to the carnival which by the way is on the other side of the parade, another thing I just don't like. I just don't see the point, sit there and watch a bunch of people walk past you? This process would be more enjoyable if you could throw something at them, O.K. maybe just the politicians. Alyssa, TJ and Ashley all chose the tornado ride, that one ride that actively tries to spray vomit on the crowds of people who chose not to be the ones vomiting.

TJ looks a little queasy, but he did pretty good.

Kelsie wanted to do the bungee jump. Of course this would be the most expensive ride. That's my Kelsie.

See why I don't like parades or people in mass amounts? Just a bunch of weirdo's.

Let's get ready to rumble!!!!!! The big jousting event, that chance to "safely" beat the crap out of your sibling. First up, Ashley and TJ. Ashley comes out of her corner ready to knock some heads around.

TJ tried the tactic of taunting your opponent, make them wait, make em nervous.

Or he was just a little scared of heights.

The first round goes to Ashley.

As does the second. I personally think TJ got more for his money because he got to fall on the balloon landing twice.

Kelsie and Alyssa were next. Let's just say that Kelsie got her money's worth also but we did get a great picture sequence out of it.

So what do you do while you wait to fire off your own fireworks because the city you live in doesn't do fireworks on the 4Th and your too tired to drive over to Provo again? Nature photography of course.

See, the video waited for you to finish. This came off of Alyssa's phone.
